ThinkAI workshop AI Builder

Bring a problem. Leave with a working build.

Bring a real problem from your actual work. Spend the day building a solution to it, guided end-to-end by a senior practitioner.

Who this workshop is for.

AI Builder is the natural follow-up to AI Fluency. The workshops can be booked back-to-back or months apart. Most groups should start with AI Fluency. This is not an entry-level workshop. Participants should already use AI confidently, understand basic automation concepts, and be comfortable working in Claude Cowork or a comparable environment and navigating GitHub. You do not need to be a professional developer, but you do need enough hands-on fluency to follow the build and contribute.

Every participant must bring a real, repeating problem from their work instead of a hypothetical exercise. They should arrive with the access or sanitized sample data needed to work on it.

What you can build.

We will use the pre-workshop intake call to choose a practical project from your business.

A recurring report that writes itself from data you already have.

A triage agent for inbound email, support tickets, or applications.

A research assistant that gathers, synthesizes, and drafts an output that normally takes two hours.

An approval workflow that pre-screens requests against your real criteria.

A custom skill that wraps a repeating internal process you have not had time to systematize.

Curriculum.

We choose the build environment during intake based on your project and the tools your organization already uses.

Automation versus agent, and how to tell which one the problem actually needs. Most “agent” problems are automations; knowing the difference saves money and disappointment.

Using the selected build environment in depth: connected data, tools, scheduled work, file access, and multi-step tasks.

How Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, Codex, and Microsoft Copilot Cowork differ, and where each fits.

How agents extend themselves through skills, tools, and connectors to act on email, calendars, documents, databases, and CRMs.

What can go wrong, how to control scope, and the human-in-the-loop patterns that keep the work safe and useful.

Required pre-work

AI Builder readiness requirements.

One week before the workshop, ThinkAI meets with the sponsor to confirm participant problems, expectations, access, and data preparation. Before that call, every participant must:

  • Identify one real, repeating problem from their work.
  • Write one paragraph explaining how the work is performed today.
  • Arrange required access or sanitized sample data for the room.

If the pre-work is not done, the day does not work. ThinkAI is firm on this readiness requirement.

The day at a glance.

The day runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a working lunch and short breaks. The morning reviews agents versus automations, walks through the selected build environment, and defines the scope of each participant's project.

The middle of the day is build time: set up, connect to real systems, test, and refine. The afternoon ends with each participant demonstrating the build and creating a plan to put it into regular use. By 4:00 PM, it runs.

Takeaways.

A working agent or automation addressing the real problem you brought.

The code, prompts, and configuration, all yours to keep.

A checklist for preparing the build for regular use by your team.

The vocabulary and judgment to evaluate AI-agent pitches over the next 12 months.

A printed reference guide and digital handout.

A 30-day check-in call with the workshop sponsor and one 30-minute remote follow-up session with the group within 90 days.
